Little Jimmy’s Italian Ices

Little Jimmy’s products were provided to the set department of the Jim Carrey , “Fun With Dick and Jane.” Look for the Little Jimmy’s and products when you watch it on television or DVD.

“Fun With Dick and Jane” is an update of the 1977 comedy, which starred Jane Fonda & George Segal, where a married couple turn to robbery to pay the bills. This time Jim Carrey and Tea Leoni star in this madcap farce which released December of 2005.

  2. Elizabeth, –November 23, 2004–Little Jimmy’s Italian Ice (www.italianice.net) is an out-of-the-box business that’s already made it to the “big-time.” It’s becoming a Hollywood legend thanks to the marketing genius of the company’s marketing director, Dennis Moore.  Moore states, “I was looking for a way to get a Little Jimmy’s in front of as many people as possible when I saw a street vendor in a movie. I thought, ‘Wow-that’s it!’” Moore contacted a firm specializing in movie product placement, and provided them with photos of his colorful carts.

Product placement in films is a win-win situation. Little Jimmy’s is shown in a flattering light and the producers get real-life props. “It’s a great way to gain tremendous exposure,” states Moore. Plus, this is the kind of campaign that keeps on giving. Moore comments, “Being in a movie helps my customers, not just for a week or a month. When the film comes out on DVD, the campaign goes on and on.”

Little Jimmy’s Italian Ice is known for offering assistance to customers every step of the way. Their website is packed with everything you need to either start a business immediately, or add to an existing business, including instructional videos. Moore beams when he talks about helping fledgling startups, “I try to give them the benefit of my family’s seventy-five years of experience making and selling our Italian Ice.” One piece of advice he’s quick to pass out is: “Be smart with your marketing dollars. Always consider ways to leverage what the parent company is doing. In this case, when these movies come out, all our owners can get even more visibility with local contests for tickets, coupons, etc.”

When Little Jimmy’s heard the was flying over in Jersey City I grabbed my video and drove over to Jersey City to get some footage near the from the Jersey side. Pretty amazing- actually never flew into space and was the prototype that tested the Space Shuttle for the Challenger.

Recent from one of our in . Here is the Video on YouTube Also.

“Dear Tom and the rest of the Little Jimmy’s family,

I wanted to write you guys an email about what an incredible business this has been and what the future looks like. This business has been a game changer for my family. My wife and I have been doing this since June 18 here in the Abilene, Texas area. It was great, but it has gotten better. Last month, I made more part-time than I did in my full time teaching job (over $4000). Last night, we did a minor league arena football team’s tailgate party and game. We SOLD OUT. In five hours from 5 to 10, we made about $1300. The baseball caps were flying off the table. I’ve got to place another order tomorrow. I charge $3, $4,and $5, but I give a little larger portions.

The guy in charge of concessions brought his catering truck from DALLAS (200 miles away) where he owns a restaurant right across from the stadium. He talked to me about bringing my ( I will need more) to his restaurant on game days, because he does a ton of business. It would be a lot of gas, but it would be unbelieveable sales. This summer, I will be operating in the mall of Abilene in a prime location for the months of June and July. If it goes as well as I think it will, I will ask for August as well. That will be incredible income. I have events lined up on almost every weekend in the other months, and will need to order more carts as the income from the mall pops in. I could be doing 2-3 events a weekend now be because of the groundwork that I have laid over the past months. My goal is to hire good kids or husband and wife teams to take carts and work events, giving them base pay plus incentives and expanding my business tremendously. I know that there are risks involved, but I also know that there are really good people out there who need a job and would love to make good money part-time.

Thanks for creating a fantastic business that has changed the financial future of my family. By the way, my daughter and husband are going to be going to graduate school in Rochester, starting this summer. He is a physics major with a full plus stipend scholarship and my daughter will have an opportunity to go to the Eastman school of music. Rochester is only a few hours from Elizabeth, so I will be coming up there to see you folks every now and then, and be able to write it off as a business trip, and go see my kids.

Sincerely yours,

Wayne, TX

So, we did our first event on July 23/24 the Loganberry Festival near our home on Whidbey Island, WA. Not a huge event, but made $475 each day! We were thrilled. We charged $3 probably over scooped a bit to make the serving look like the signage. Sold a few hats, but were so thrilled and trying to talk to folks about so many things, that we forgot to really push them, but when we did (for $5) no one blinked an eye. For the two days, from 10-5pm, we sold 4 containers, sold out at least an hour before closing on day and could have made more money if we hadn’t given out such big samples! We’re working on that. One lady asked if we do weddings-we said “sure!”

We decided since we live on an island, we would do a pirate theme and sell “Shiver-Me-Timbers! Pirate Ice.” We dressed like and it went over great. We must get into the talking like a pirate spirit though-LOL! Our family had a great time. Wad lines a few times, but for this, our “maiden voyage,” we were glad not to be “too” busy~! Just a nice stream of folks pretty constant after 11AM. Very pleased with our first event. And we are doing America’s night out this evening. Seems there are lots of events willing to let us get in later than we thought, as we got a late start this summer.

We made a small flyer in pirate talk to hand out that says we do events, openings, etc.

Will attach some pics of our “modded” cart. Hope you guys get a kick out of it!

Just found out who this is-

Yes! Of Course! I was on my way to Lake Travis in Austin, ! Every weekend I set up at “Daybreak” Boat Rentals and Mini Golf, located on Hi-Line Dr. just off FM 620, in between Carlos n’ Charlies and Just For Fun!  Tons lake goers walk back and forth past my cart a day as I introduce them to Italian Ices! So far everyone loves it way better than snowcones and shaved ice and the free samples are the way to go! July 4th weekend was awesome complete with fireworks! P.S.- Thanks to the vendor with the Walmart idea! I booked a couple of dates!    Ursula in TX
