Italian Ice Car Cart Carrier

Here are a couple of questions we received about transporting the Little Jimmy’s Italian Ice cart if your vehicle doesn’t have at least a 34 inch clearance.  Great idea found from one of our vendors for about $300-

“I was trying to find some videos that would show loading the cart into an SUV or van.  I only have about 32-33 inches of height clearance in our SUV (a gmc terrain) – and the cart is 34 inches high, right?  Lenght and width are fine.  Probably going to need an alternative way to transport the cart – any suggestions or information?”      Adam

“These videos are always great!  I have to find something I can move around by myself (I drive a sedan).  How do your owners get their units from place to place?  Do you have any suggestions for me as far as what kind of unit I could handle on my own?    Thanks!”   Susan

“In order to transport the cart around I need to get a hitch and small, mountable scooter carrier with ramp.  Any suggestions on this?  I’m curious if other vendors have done this.  Your cart is too large to fit in my SUV.”    Lilly

Enclosed is an email we received from one of our customers. This explains how to travel with a cart attached to your car:

Hi Anthony:  We were so lucky yesterday that we found one cargo carrier available at a local hitch business.  We have ordered another one for the other cart, but we’re ready to start with one.  Went to the inspection today, all went super! Attached are pictures of the cart on the cargo carrier.   This could help other people. We’re going to practice selling ‘ice’ at the beach this weekend.

Italian ice police

Italian ice police

“Hello Anthony and Dennis:

We just finished our 1st big event and it lasted for 6 days .  It was a county fair and horse show in Kentucky.  There were several children and some people were talking about the cost and comparing it to a shaved ice so we came up with a 2 scoop serving that we sold for 2 dollars and called it a “child size” and we sold several of those in addition to the normal 3 dollar size and several baseball helmets.

We had so much fun, but we were really tired…it was very hot.  I have attached some pictures of some of the police officers that loved Little Jimmy’s Italian Ices and one little boy that was competing in the horse show…he did win 1st place in his category and ate a lot of blueberry ice when he was done competing (he would come up at stick out his tongue and say what flavor do I want).  One of the police officers is originally from New York and he told everyone how great our product was and how it made him homesick.

I gave a quote today to our local hospital for an event that they are having for there major donors in October.  This event will consist of the movers and shakers in my community and could lead to a lot of corporate/employee events.  I also am talking to some Wal-Marts about setting up with them.

Thanks for all the advice and help.  We are loving it…I have wanted this cart for 5 years and now my dream is coming to reality and it is even better that I dreamed it would be.

Take care,

Leanne Mabrey
